Congratulations to the first group of students to graduate from the GW School of Business Sports Philanthropy Certificate Program this October! The inaugural cohort of students comes from around the globe and represents organizations from Major League Baseball and the National Football League to individual athlete foundations and sport for development programs.  The program just welcomed its second group of students who spent several days at The George Washington University networking with students and faculty prior to beginning the 12-week online program.

This certificate is the first ever academic program in the field of sports philanthropy.  The program offers a ground-breaking curriculum tailored to the unique needs of those who work for professional sports teams, leagues, athlete foundations, sport-related companies with an emphasis on corporate social responsibility, nonprofits using sports for social good and those looking to enter the field.
